It began as a routine training day at Green Meadow Cemetery — a quiet, wooded area often used by the local police department for scent tracking exercises with their K9 units. But what unfolded that morning was anything but routine.

Dozens of trained police dogs, from multiple nearby precincts, had gathered for a large-scale joint drill. These were some of the finest scent and detection dogs in the region — trained to locate narcotics, explosives, and even missing persons. But as the officers prepared to begin the exercise, something strange happened.

One dog, a seasoned German Shepherd named Thor, broke formation and bolted toward an older section of the cemetery. Within seconds, more dogs followed — barking wildly, sniffing furiously, and circling a single grave.
