Washington, D.C. – In a series of explosive and dramatic statements, President Donald Trump revived the controversial allegation that former President Barack Obama tried to “orchestrate a coup” against him after the 2016 election — and declared, coolly, “Those people are going to pay.”

Appearing in Michigan, Trump not only shouted this message to a raucous MAGA crowd, but also dropped a bombshell on Truth Social, accusing Obama and former U.S. intelligence leaders of conspiring to undermine him with the “Russia, Russia, Russia hoax” — an investigation that Trump claimed was “the biggest scandal in American history.”

“THE RUSSIA FRAUD IS TOTALLY REVEALED! The truth is clear. Those who committed this CRIME will pay a heavy price. This must never happen again in our country!” Trump wrote in all caps on Truth Social Friday morning.
He then shared a video from The Daily Signal in which conservative historian Victor Davis Hanson accused Obama-era intelligence chiefs of trying to “destroy” Trump after his 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton.
“They must pay for the crime of the century,” Trump declared.
Gabbard Sparks the Storm

The latest attacks were sparked by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who recently accused Obama and national security officials of orchestrating a “treasonous plot” to justify the story of Russian election interference.
According to Gabbard, this is not just a routine investigation, but a “multi-year coup” aimed at undermining Trump’s legitimacy from the beginning of his term.
The Obama side strongly rebutted, asserting that there was no evidence that would change the widely accepted conclusion: Russia sought to influence the 2016 election but did not change the outcome of the vote.
Epstein’s Ghost Returns
It is noteworthy that this series of attacks came just as Trump was under pressure from the public over new information in the Epstein dossier – the billionaire pedophile who died in 2019.
In an effort to stem the wave of criticism, Trump unexpectedly delved into the past, asserting that he had “cut off” with Epstein because he “stole” young employees from Mar-a-Lago, including Virginia Giuffre – a sex trafficking victim who committed suicide in April.
“He kidnapped people. I said, ‘Don’t do that anymore.’ And that was the end of him,” Trump recounted on Air Force One.
The Political Storm Has Not Stopped
Trump’s statements immediately created a political earthquake, deeply dividing public opinion. Supporters considered it a “wake-up call” against the “deep state”, while opponents denounced it as a “distraction” from his legal troubles and personal scandals.
Observers warn that Trump’s public attack on a former president and his demand for “payback” could spark an unprecedented backlash in the 2024-2025 election campaign.
One thing is certain: Donald Trump has chosen not just to escalate, but to burn down the entire political front line — and the only question is: who will take the hit next?
